Frequently asked questions and answers:
How do you notify DKV about an insured event in your home?
To report an insured event under a DKV Hogar policy, you can:
– Call the toll-free hotline 900 810 076 — available 24/7
– Or submit a message online using a special form at the link: link here
Both methods are convenient and fast — choose the one that suits you best.
What is building and contents insurance?
Building — this is everything that concerns the structure of the home itself: foundations, walls, roof, doors, windows, as well as extensions — terraces, garages, patios, swimming pools, sports facilities. This also includes stationary equipment: heating, electrical network, water supply, gas, solar panels, etc.
Contents — this is all movable property in the house: furniture, household appliances, computers, plumbing, clothing, books, decorative items, ordinary jewelry, musical instruments and other things belonging to the insured person, their family or those who live at the specified address.
This division allows you to more accurately select coverage depending on what exactly you want to protect.

How does the DKV home insurance expert service work?
This is professional assistance at home to perform minor repairs or installation work as provided for in the policy terms.
The service is provided once a year, up to 3 hours of work by a master, with a 6-month warranty on the work performed.
To use the service, simply call 900 810 076 (home care service).
The service is available Monday through Friday from 9:00 AM to 7:00 PM, except holidays.
Does home insurance cover situations if an insured event occurs during renovations in the apartment?
According to the terms and conditions of DKV Hogar, the insurance does not cover losses resulting from repair or construction work carried out in the insured home if these works have not been previously agreed with the insurance company or if they significantly change the design or location of engineering systems.
In other words: – Cosmetic repairs (painting, replacing furniture) usually do not affect insurance
– Construction, plumbing, electrical work — may result in denial of payment if they caused damage and were not agreed upon
To avoid misunderstandings, it is recommended to notify DKV before starting any major repairs.
