You can contact a general practitioner, pediatrician or nurse at any time of the day or night.

Consultations with specialist doctors such as cardiologists, dermatologists, neurologists, surgeons and other specialists for diagnosis and treatment are covered.
Surgery and hospitalization.
Includes hospitalization, scheduled and emergency surgeries with the provision of all necessary services, such as intensive care and postoperative rehabilitation.
Diagnostic tools.
All types of examinations are covered, including X-rays, MRIs, CT scans, ultrasounds, and other tests necessary to make an accurate diagnosis.
Therapeutic methods.
Access to modern treatment methods is provided, including physiotherapy, radiotherapy, chemotherapy and other therapies, depending on the patient's condition.
Dental protection.
Includes basic dental services at no extra charge (e.g. teeth cleaning), as well as discounts on more complex procedures such as prosthetics or orthodontics.

What are the coverage limitations?
Psychiatric hospitalization: maximum 60 days per insured person per year.
Prostheses and cardiac or vascular implants: limit of €12,000 per insured person per year.
Daily compensation for hospitalization: 80 euros/day (starting from the third day) with a maximum limit of 2,400 euros per insured person per year, if the hospitalization did not cause any costs for DKV.
Medical assistance in case of HIV/AIDS: maximum 6,000 euros during the term of the contract.
Reimbursement of medical expenses abroad for serious illnesses: 80% expenses up to a limit of 16,000 euros per insured person per year.
Waiting period: to benefit from certain services, 6, 8 or 12 months must have passed from the date the contract came into effect for each insured.
What is not covered?
Medical assistance for illnesses, injuries or health conditions that existed at the time of concluding the insurance contract.
Consequences caused by violent acts, epidemics, disasters, nuclear or radioactive reactions.
Illnesses or injuries caused by professional sports or activities in high-risk conditions.
Aesthetic surgery and any other treatment that has an exclusively aesthetic or cosmetic purpose.
Diagnostic and therapeutic methods that are not approved by the Spanish Network of Health Technology Assessment Agencies (RedETS).
Medical care provided in public or private centers not included in the DKV list of medical facilities, as well as services prescribed by the staff of these centers.
Waiting periods
With medical insurance DKV Integral you can use all medical coverage and services with first day, except following cases:
Transplants – 12 months
Surgical interventions, hospitalization and prostheses – 8 months
Childbirth (except premature birth or cesarean section) – 8 months
Outpatient surgeries – 6 months
High-tech diagnostic methods: CT, MRI, etc. – 6 months
Biomechanical gait study – 6 months
Proton therapy for pediatric tumors – 8 months
Medical care for HIV/AIDS – 12 months
These grace periods must be kept in mind, as services become available only after they are completed.
