Yes. DKV fully complies with the requirements of the Spanish immigration authorities: coverage from €60,000, valid throughout Spain, without restrictions on the duration of stay.

Is it possible to take out insurance while outside Spain?

Yes. The entire process is done remotely via WhatsApp and email. The policy is valid from the date of activation.

What is carencia and can it be avoided?

Carencia is a waiting period before insurance begins to cover certain services (childbirth - 8-10 months, elective surgeries - 6 months). When switching from another insurance company, the carencia is usually canceled.
